Alexander Tsimanis, a Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law by the State Bar of California, has over 15 years of experience as an attorney solely representing Workers’ Compensation defense case-in-chief, liens, LC Section 132a, S&W, arbitration, and appellate matters (WCAB and CA District Court of Appeal). He is expert in litigating psychiatric claims, special/general employer issues, CIGA-related matters, as well as prevailing on affirmative defenses per LC Section 3600. He has represented employers across different industries: entertainment, utilities, service, transportation, government, and construction. He works with multi-national self-insured employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.
He has successfully defended cases utilizing the off-duty recreational activity defense, lack of employment relationship defense, as well as prevailing at arbitration on high-exposure cases. He also resolved for nuisance value, a high-value psychiatric claim after obtaining a credible AME report and deposition on the issue of predominant causation.
Alexander received his Juris Doctorate degree from McGeorge School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from California State University, Northridge. He is a member of the State Bar of California since 2003 (SBN #228312). He is licensed to practice in the State of California, as well as before the US District Court for the Central District of California. He is a member of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association. In his free time, Alexander enjoys jogging, playing in a softball league, and travel adventures with his family.
